Well now that Brett Stewart isnt playing, i think Gidley will finally get a start, Even though he is the complete package off the bench and can play anywhere in the backline and dummy half, he does deserve a start. If they pick on form like they say, this is what i think.

why not jamie soward??? is mullen really playing that much better than jamie?? qld took a risk with thurston many moons ago and look now. they took two halves last year and look. why cant we play with 5 eighths? jamie is a more dominant 5 eighth than most anyway. he plays like a half back, he touches the ball more times than any five eighth would and wayne bennett is his coach.
another thing, how come out of all of NSW we couldnt pick 1 indigenous player to fit into 40 spots? Qld will possibly have up to 6 in their starting 17. have we missed the boat on this one???

Well, I think your all wrong (looks at the comments below or above, which’ever way it is)..
Terry Campese is the shizz, even though he’s receiting hair is not looking very good at the moment.. Bad luck for Anthony Quinn, who’ll be out for the rest of the season, along with Brett Stewart, but they both would have made a big impact/difference in the team.. I reckon Will Chambers should be no.1, and they should chuck in El Masri, even though he’s ancient, he should be just right for a second rower!
And what happened to Brett White, I’m sure he did an excellent job last year (even though his form was totally crap)
But here’s my all star line up and I think Craig Bellamy should have a look at it!!1. Chris Lawrence
2. Michael Jennings
3. Joel Monaughan
4. Matt Cooper
5. Jarrod Hayne
6. Terry Campese
7. Jamie Soward
8. Luke Bailey

After much analysis through Games 1 and 2. I have found that the NSW Selectors do not have a clue! Obviously neither does Craig Bellamy! I say call on Gus Gould, someone who knows what State of Origin is all about. Someone who has pride and passion in what they are doing, not picking a Touch Team. Here’s the side that would beat QLD every time. I’ve selected the hard as nails forwards and a quality backline who won’t be having a look when Greg Inglis is coming. They’ll be under his ribs (Matt Cooper). Here’s the NSW Team.
1. Kurt Gidley
2. Jarryd Hayne
