I love reading about new internet startups (esp Australian ones) - here are 4 that I have found over the last 6 months that interest me.
StreetAdvisor
Based in Melbourne, the TripAdvisor of the real estate game, street level reviews (not just suburb).

Based in Brisbane, sentiment analysis on articles, twitter integration, iphone app.
